AXS-One Announces Launch of Dynamic Data Integrator Designed for Companies Switching Email Platforms

Zero email conversion solution reduces costs, timelines and risks associated with email server migration.

AXS-One's new Dynamic Data MigratorTM allows enterprise users who migrate from Lotus Notes/Domino to Microsoft Exchange - and vice-versa - to access legacy emails created in their previous messaging environment without undergoing expensive, time-consuming and risky data conversion procedures.

Part of the AXS-One Compliance Platform, it provides end users with immediate, secure access to their legacy email directly from the new messaging client, without requiring the usual bulk conversion of email. Original records remain unchanged. If messages are required in the new messaging environment, they are dynamically converted to Exchange (or Notes) format, along with any attachments, links to applications, encryption (with available keys) and web links.

Datacatch Librarian provides the tools necessary to search, retrieve, and manage a collection of removable media including removable hard drives, USB keys, photo memory cards, and optical discs such as CDs, DVDs, Blu-ray and HD-DVD.

Email archiving a whole-of-company issue

by David Thompson, Managing Director, AXS-One Pty Ltd

Enron, Morgan Stanley and AWB are familiar names; organisations that have each been involved in controversy over emails that have cost the company’s reputation and/or large fines.

Emails are usually regarded as being primarily an IT issue, but most IT managers haven’t considered corporate governance, regulatory compliance and the risks associated with actions such as legal e-discovery to be a priority.

I believe there is a mismatch between what an organisation requires and what the IT department is currently delivering.  People in IT management need to be aware of the protection required when it comes to electronic documents; having no protection carries risks the business may not be able to sustain.   (cont...)
